Base Layers: The Logic and Lunacy of Crypto's Formative Era is a character-driven account of the incentives that turned a technical experiment into a market machine.
The book follows fortunes made too early, scams dressed as systems, builders who survived, and the infrastructure that remained after the cycle turned. It draws on my work across the Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and Aptos ecosystems, while keeping the argument grounded in documented claims rather than industry myth.
The manuscript and production masters have moved out of the former Raintree Press website and into the consolidated publishing archive. A new purchase and sample link will appear here after distribution and existing customer access have been reconciled.
